Step 8 : Enabling server authentication
As a result of spammers abusing mail service it has become necessary to have our clients enable server authentication.

From the "Tools" menu select "accounts"

   
Next goto the "Mail" tab.
Then select the mail account you are trying to send mail from and click " properties "
 

 
Click on the tab that says "servers"
Click the box that says "my server requires authentication"
Click the button that says "settings"
 

Click "Log on using" and then the email address you want to send from.
Enter the password.
Click "Remember password"
Click "OK"
Click "OK"
Click "Close"
You are done.
